Behind the Scenes: How I Shot Landon's Music Video "Heaven"
Shooting Landon’s music video for "Heaven" was a simple yet unforgettable experience. There was no big crew, no elaborate lighting setup—just me, my handheld Sony FX3, and an incredible stroke of luck with the natural light.
I love the rawness that comes with shooting handheld. It keeps things fluid, authentic, and allows me to capture real moments without being tied down by heavy gear. The Sony FX3 is my go-to for this kind of work. Its compact size and stunning 4K image quality make it easy to move quickly and create cinematic shots without sacrificing performance.
For this particular shoot, I didn’t rely on any artificial lighting. Instead, I was blessed with some incredible natural light pouring through the windows. The sun flares and soft blooms from the window provided a perfect, organic glow that enhanced the dreamy, ethereal vibe we were going for. It felt like the sun itself was working as part of the production team!
Every shot felt spontaneous and genuine, and I think that’s the beauty of shooting with minimal equipment. Sometimes, all you need is a great camera, a good idea, and a little bit of luck with the light. "Heaven" was a reminder of how powerful natural elements can be when you're in the right place at the right time.

Behind the Scenes: How I Shot Arick’s Boxing Video
When it came time to shoot Arick’s boxing video, I knew I wanted to blend the intensity of the sport with the serenity and raw beauty of nature. The result was a combination of two contrasting yet powerful locations: the boxing gym and the mountains.
The gym provided the perfect atmosphere to capture the grit and determination of Arick’s training. The stark, minimal setting allowed the focus to be entirely on his movements, with the sounds of punches landing and the steady rhythm of his training. The gym’s vibe was all about power, focus, and energy—exactly what boxing is about.
But then, we took it to the mountains, and that’s where things got interesting. The vast, open landscape gave the video a sense of freedom and scale. Arick’s intense training in the gym met the calm but epic backdrop of the mountains, which created a visually striking contrast. The crisp air and natural light added another layer to the story, capturing the feeling of pushing boundaries, both physically and mentally.
Shooting between these two locations was a challenge, but it allowed me to show the full range of Arick’s boxing journey. From the disciplined grind inside the gym to the almost meditative moments outside in nature, it was a perfect mix of intensity and introspection.
